The rooms Are medium in size and kept in good condition and Are smartly- decorated in a modern style. They Are of a good size, with the only possible complaint being that there is almost too much furniture in a few of the rooms. This is hardly a negative point however, and the quality of the furnishings is high. The restaurant is a medium sized room decorated primarily in warm, traditional colours. This is a compact brick building fronted by a wide esplanade. The lobby is small in size and the reception desk is found immediately inside the entrance on the left. The lobby Area as a whole is more spacious and adjoins a bar. The decor is quite simple, with beige marble floor tiles and tan-coloured furniture. This is also connected to a terrace bar which looks out over the water. The John Bauer enjoys an excellent and easily accessible location and is a very well equipped property.
